Switzerland, 8 May 2023, the company Imobersteg-Krantechnik is getting ready to assemble two GHS351 tower cranes for the construction of the new Sörenberg - Brienzer Rothorn cable car. The peculiarity of this construction site is the assembly method: in fact, the cranes were assembled using a helicopter. For us at FB GRU, this type of work is not new. Furthermore, thanks to the cooperation with the company Imobersteg-Krantechnik, which is specialised in this type of construction site, which is impossible for some, we have introduced several new solutions on our cranes in order to facilitate assembly using a helicopter. In addition to the GHS351, also the GHS401 and GHS501 are very popular cranes for our customers working on special or cramped construction sites. These tower cranes, which guarantee a maximum load capacity of 4,000 kg, have a unique design: all parts have a maximum length of 6 m and are very light to facilitate assembly even with special means such as a helicopter. In particular, the GHS351 has no parts that exceed a weight of 900 kg, making it a perfect crane for mountain construction sites, as you can see from the photos of the construction site of the new Sörenberg - Brienzer Rothorn cable car.
